Rainbow Brands At The Super September With British Canoeing

Rainbow Brands were excited to be a part of the Super September series, where British Canoeing aim to help raise the profile of canoeing competitions in the UK and to showcase the breadth and diversity of the sport. We saw six key National competitions across the disciplines of sprint, slalom, wild water racing, freestyle, rafting and polo.

Paddle sport is new to me. At school I enjoyed most sport and in particular long distance running and cross country but now I have really seen what paddle sport has to offer I’ll be visiting Lee Valley again very soon for my lessons.

  1. Paddle sport needs focus and commitment like most sports but it’s for those reasons that it’s a great way to refocus away from your everyday stresses when you are taking part in it. It will re-energise and inspire you and leave you wanting more and definitely leave you buzzing!!!

  2. There are challenges and adventures to be had on the water for all ages.

  3. Great camaraderie within the sport it was super to see the shouts of encouragement “up, up, up, up…”.

  4. Being part of a sporting community is great fun you can make friends, share great experiences and learn to develop yourself with new challenges.

The sun was out in full force at the Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre Nottingham. We were positioned in front of the lake where the sprints took place. We really enjoyed being spectators and engaging with the members and attendees.

At Lee Valley White Water Centre we were positioned very near the action. We were delighted to be joined by Status Row who we are sponsoring in their mighty challenge they have set themselves. Three ordinary ladies looking to achieve the extraordinary in completing the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge 2018 and in so doing raising money for the Marine Conservation Society. The Marine Conservation Society is the UK’s leading charity for the protection of our seas, shores and wildlife and who is spearheading the fight against plastic pollution in the UK.

We were also pleased to launch our two new brands The Cora Ball and Gooper Hermetic at Lee Valley.
